Benefitting from the strong SIPLACE network European business of ASMPT becomes part of the SIPLACE organization

In early 2011, the SIPLACE team became a business unit of the Singapore-based ASMPT Group under the name ASM Assembly Systems. In Asia, ASMPT has been a market-leading supplier of machine solutions for chip assembly, bonding and packaging for many years. Now the company wants to take advantage of the SIPLACE organization’s advanced sales and service network and strong back-office support functions in order to expand and strengthen its European busi-ness and strengthen its leading position among local electronics manufacturers. As a result, the European ASMPT team with its headquarters in the Netherlands is being integrated into the SIPLACE organization. It will be headed by Hubert Herzberg, previously director of the SIPLACE product management. The SIPLACE management team views the new structure as an expression of the SIPLACE team’s strong position within the group and as proof of group management’s trust in its sales and service competencies.
