Collect&Place Head Camera

The proven 6- and 12-nozzle heads, our 20-nozzle SpeedStar and the new, highly flexible MultiStar – all SIPLACE Collect&Place heads feature a digital camera with adjustable lighting levels.

Once the component and vacuum sensors have determined that a component was picked up, the placement head camera checks its quality and initiates any placement corrections that may be required.

Fastest cycle times
The optical component inspection takes place while components are being picked up and transported, and the highly efficient image processing engine makes sure that the inspection does not slow down the placement machine.

Minimum error rates
Flipped or tombstoned components, faulty components – the high-resolution SIPLACE head camera inspect each component individually and at maximum resolution. Thanks to frontal illumination with adjustable lighting levels, the camera can recognize surface structures for maximum inspection quality.

Follow-up control with vision dumps
Why was a component rejected? To check, the system can store up to 500 images – solid evidence that can be critical when you discuss the problem with your component supplier.
