The inspection capabilities of the SIPLACE vision system can be enhanced further with optional coplanarity modules. Using a laser, the system scans the surface to make sure that the connector elements (gullwing, leads, etc.) are actually positioned on the same level.
Your benefit: Heavily cambered components, missing or insufficiently thick balls and components with bent leads are recognized and rejected before they are placed. This raises your overall placement quality and prevents cost-intensive soldering defects that often go undetected until the module is installed in the field.
