SIPLACE Vision System:
Focus on manufacturing quality

Determining the position of components and PCBs, assessing the quality of components, reading barcodes and ink spots, calibrating systems – all of these are tasks that make the vision system the most important sensor in a placement machine.

With its digital vision system, SIPLACE is once again setting the standard for the world's equipment manufacturers. Not only for each individual component such as the camera, lighting and software, but for their perfect interaction. The result: optical inspection that ensures the highest possible quality and productivity of your production.

  • High-resolution Digital Imaging
The SIPLACE vision system uses state-of-the-art digital technology in the megapixel range for the highest resolution and fast image processing.

  • One Image per Component
Other equipment makers’ systems take pictures of multiple components, which usually results in a lack of focus. SIPLACE cameras, on the other hand, focus on a single component only. That’s why the system can put its full resolution to good use for each individual component, and it does it all without slowing down the placement process.

  • Frontal light for more detail
SIPLACE vision systems operate with frontal light, because it is far superior to traditional backlight systems. With frontal light, the system can detect and measure not only contours, but the complex surface structures of modern components (BGAs, PLCCs, etc.).

  • Adjustable lighting levels
Good lighting is critical for the quality of an image. That’s why SIPLACE vision systems operate with flexibly adjustable lighting levels that put each component in the right light.

  • High-speed Image Processing
With their powerful algorithms, SIPLACE vision systems measure and analyze each component within a few milliseconds for maximum speed and placement quality. For quality control purposes the system can store up to 500 vision dumps.

  • Special Sensors
For added support, special sensors are available. For example, the coplanarity module uses a laser to check the coplanarity of large components before their curvature causes weak solder joints and bad connections.
