Interview with WK Lee, CEO ASMPT, and Günter Lauber, SIPLACE CEO

ASMPT merges with
Siemens Electronics Assembly Systems:
“Together we will be the No. 1
in electronics production”

 

On January 7, Siemens Electronics Assembly Systems became a part of semiconductors equipment manufacturer ASMPT and changed its name to ASM Assembly Systems. The “SIPLACE” brand name will live on, however. WK Lee, the CEO of ASMPT, banks on continuity also in other areas: Günter Lauber stays on as the CEO of ASM Assembly Systems, and Munich will remain the company’s main location. Both gentlemen explained in an interview with Markt & Technik how they plan to shape the future.
